Meet the Study Team

Dr. Ellen Wald and Dr. Gregory DeMuri together make up the Wald and DeMuri Research Group, which is focused on improving the treatment of respiratory infections in children.

Dr. Ellen WaldDr. Ellen Wald is a professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She enjoys mentoring medical learners through demonstrating superb patient-centered care and a commitment to continuing medical education. Dr. Wald is recognized internationally for her contributions to improving the care for and treatment of pediatric sinusitis.

Dr. Gregory DeMuriDr. Gregory DeMuri is a professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He cares for children with various lung, sinus, bone, joint, muscle, and skin infections. He also treats Lyme disease, a bacterial infection caused by ticks, and cares for children who contract diseases while traveling outside the United States. He conducts research on respiratory infections in children, including strep throat, sinus infections, and the common cold.
